Division of immunology understands the reciprocal action and mechanism of diverse materials that participate in immune allergic diseases, and confirms the fields ranging from cells to organisms to closely examine the ingredients and functions of oriental medicine.
1. Research on signal transduction of Th1 and Th2 cell differentiation and reaction controlling substance.
2. Examine the cultivation, reciprocal relationship, and role of epithelial cell and mast cell which are the main cells that trigger the allergy.
3. Research the function and effect of anti-allergy and cytokine mechanism.
4. Research the role of Cytokine in immune and allergic diseases, and examine the immune pathology and treatment results of oriental medicine.
5. Build up the East- West medical model, and treatment of oriental-western medicine for allergic rhinitis.
Moreover, by applying confirmed results in clinic and experimenting practical research that is closely linking laboratory and clinic patients, we would function as the bridge of East-West medicine model in treatment of allergic diseases.
1. Short-term task
A. Build up the cultivating system of mast cells, which are located in human's blood and tissues.
B. Prove the curing effect of collaborating treatment of East-West medicine for allergic rhinitis.
C. Compare nasal mucosa epithelial cells and fibroblasts by cultivating steps.
2. Long-term task
A. Create the 3rd medical science by building up the collaborating research system between East and West medicine.
B. Develop standardized and scientific East-West Medical cure.
C. Develop new-oriental medicine that is an excellent anti-allergy and has fewer side effects.
